Educational Programs Overview:

Green Medical Network Group (GMNG) believes in the concept of investing in "human capital" and we are always looking to attract the next generation of healthcare leaders.  Through GMNG’s physician-led incubator, we have access to multiple start-up companies that are at the forefront of digital health; with that, the main value add of joining GMNG's network is its ability give a 360 degree view of health care that spans from rural doctor offices to highly specialized academic hospitals. In order for our organization to have the biggest dent (more like a crater!) in the health care eco-system, we have developed multi-disciplinary programs for the next generation of healthcare leaders. No matter what program you do at GMNG, accepted applicants will obtain access to our GMNG internal audio/video content from subject matter experts that span across the 7 portfolios (honeycombs). Check out the following sample Video clip (2 min) from Chief Education Officer, Dr. Chris Zarour. GMNG’s digital conversations are custom tailored for our unique “GMNG Entrepreneurship 101” course which includes webinars by our subject matter experts and tailored for the next generation of health care entrepreneurs to harness their clinical ideas and translate them into impactful products and services for rural and underserved communities.

For those more interested in the business of health care, we recommend applying to one of our GMNG Management Positions.

GMNG Clinical Observership Program (minimum 8 week time commitment)

Given that primary care physicians are at the forefront of the health care 2.0 era and beyond, we have developed an 8 week program focused on primary care that involves rotations at rural health sites and then urban health sites with preceptors that have academic affiliations and are passionate about addressing underserved health care populations.

Summary of the GMNG Clinical Observership Program:

The primary care observership program encompasses a required 4 week rural health rotation and a required 4 week urban health rotation that will teach individuals the full-scope of primary care (family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, ob/gyn, etc.). Please see above links for details regarding each of the the individual rotations.

  • During the rural health rotation, individuals will be at the forefront of primary care and witnessing busy clinical sites. Also, you will get the unique opportunity to collaborate with the latest health technologies through GMNG portfolio of companies that are also active in rural communities.

  • During the urban health rotation, individuals will get access to academic physician preceptors with years of experience training future physicians.

  • The observership program will count for US clinical experience and individuals will be eligible to receive a strong letter of recommendation (LOR) from the physicians attesting to the prospect of their success for a residency program or future health care related employment.

  • The observership program also grants access to GMNG physician mentors who will provide weekly didactic lectures on helping them navigate towards their future goals in the field of health care. Topics will range from how to apply for residency to how to provide “value based” care in today’s ever changing health care systems.

GMNG Clinical Research Mentorship Program (variable time commitment, minimum of 4 weeks)

Green Medical Network Group has an online community of physicians that have come together to provide a research mentorship program. Given that digital health continues to play a major role in the future landscape of health care, we have invested in research oriented mentors through GMNG Labs to cultivate the next generation of knowledgeable health care professionals.  Our research projects encompasses everything from Mobile Health to the latest in Artificial Intelligence and how these technologies can help improve clinical outcomes.
